What needs to be done
- Buy or bake food, you have £55 to spend (coffee, tea, milk and squash excluded as they will all be in the kitchen) , if weather is dodgy, leave until morning of match
- Prepare food for tea interval (approx 4pm) - can be done at home or in the kitchen at the club - on Saturday's you will share the kitchen with a volunteer from the other home team
- Make pot of tea for players
- Man the kitchen when players come in for tea
- Clean up afterwards
More advice is available, below are a couple of sample teas - but you are free to use your imagination!
Example Tea - to feed 26 people
3-4 loaves of sandwiches (mixed white & brown bread) - 3 assorted fillings e.g. egg, tuna, cheese, salmon, ham (could depend on dietary requirements )
Savouries e.g. 2 of the following - sausage rolls, quiche, pork pie, mini scotch eggs, cocktail sausages, pizza, samosas
Crisps or Tortillas - 2 large bowls
3 or 4 choices of cake - either single portions or slices from a sponge, could be supplemented or substituted with fresh fruit e.g. melon, strawberries (good if hot)
Example Tea 2 - to feed 26 people
6 french sticks each cut into 4
4 - 6 small pizzas cut into 6
sliced meat around £7 worth
small pate
cocktail sausages (120)
2 quiches
1 - 2 cucumbers
small tomatoes
1 pk fruit - strawberries/melon/raspberries whatever is on offer
sweet things doughnuts - assorted chocolate cake or individual cakes eg mini rolls.
